Bicycle User Guide
Use your bicycle correctly
warn! :
Know your bike's suitability and use it with purpose. Not selecting a bicycle correctly for its intended use or using it incorrectly can be very dangerous.
No single vehicle model is suitable for all road conditions and usage purposes. Because there are many types of bicycles, and each type is divided into different levels, such as different mountain bikes, road bikes, racing, touring, cyclocross and children's bicycles, and each type is divided into different levels, so seek help from your dealer. They can help you choose the most suitable model according to your purpose, and let you understand the use restrictions of the model.
Of course, there are also models that combine multiple types, such as road bikes equipped with off-road tires. This type of sports bike has a wider shifting range and has the ability to pass on more complex roads; another example is a mountain bike model equipped with a road shifting system. This type of sports bike has dense gear shifting, uses the riding posture of a mountain bike, and has the ability to pass on mildly complex roads.
In the content description below, we outline the main ways of using the different types of sports bikes from the SOBATO brand (model categories).
Please consult your dealer who will advise on the correct bike selection for your intended use. All SOBATO adult bicycles are designed and tested with a maximum bearing capacity of 100 kilograms (weight of people and objects).
If it exceeds 100 kg, please consult your local dealer or contact us for restrictions on the use of different bicycles. Children's bicycles have a maximum limit of 45kg.
Exercise bike usage categories
1. Road vehicle (ROAD)
Applicable environment: The design of this car is suitable for flat roads such as asphalt pavement and cement pavement, where the tires are always in contact with the ground.
Suitable for use on smooth paved roads such as asphalt pavement and cement pavement. Not suitable for: off-road, traveling with racks or luggage.
Tips for you: Choosing the right materials is to achieve the lightest and best performance of the frame.
You must know:
①The purpose of this type of frame weight is to provide riders with competitiveness in the competition and defeat their opponents, so the life of the bicycle will be relatively shortened.
②If the intensity of use is weakened, the life of the frame will of course be longer.
③If you choose a lightweight frame, you cannot expect it to have a particularly long service life.
④ If you choose a lightweight frame, don’t expect it to have the same characteristics as a heavy frame. All particularly lightweight frames require regular inspections because they are relatively more likely to be damaged or broken when impacted. They are not bikes designed for off-road use.
2. Gravel truck (GRAVEL)
Applicable environment: Gravel trucks are designed for road conditions, and can also cope with smooth gravel roads and low-intensity off-road sections.
Suitable for: Used as a gravel bike for riding, training or competition. Gravel trucks include the use of different special road sections, even muddy road sections can handle it, and there is no problem in any weather conditions.
Not suitable for: Not suitable for off-road or mountain use, let alone jumping. A gravel bike is equipped with the same wheel size as a road bike, making it faster than a mountain bike with 26-inch wheels, but while increasing the speed, it is not as strong as a mountain bike.
3. XC Cross Country MTB
Applicable environment: This type of bicycle can fully cope with the first and second road conditions ahead, and can also be used on forest trails, small obstacles, and some slippery areas prone to sideslip, where certain skills are required to control your bicycle. This cannot be used as a jump.
Suitable for: For XC cross-country and competition use. Use ranges from general off-road training to intense competition. For example: mountainous areas with small obstacles such as tree roots, gravel, loose soil and hard rocks. The accessories for XC cross-country mountain bikes (tires, shock absorbers, frames, transmission systems) are all lightweight in design, which can more effectively convert pedal power into forward speed. The stroke of the shock absorber is also designed to be shorter, also for the sake of speed.
Not suitable for: unrestricted free ride (FreeRide), all-terrain mountain riding (All Mountain), extreme downhill, dirt slope jumping, slope stunts, vigorous or extreme riding. It is strictly prohibited to use it for high-altitude jumping or violently bumpy roads.
Advice for you: XC cross-country mountain bikes are lightweight, fast, and used for climbing mountains. More agile than all-terrain mountain bikes. Although XC cross-country mountain bikes cannot cope with dangerous road conditions, they are exchanged for higher power transmission efficiency and mountain climbing speed.

Safety instructions
Notice! : The area you ride may require specific safety gear. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the laws where you ride and to comply with all applicable laws, as well as to equip you and your bicycle in compliance with the law. Comply with all local bicycle laws and regulations, including regarding bicycle lights, reflectors, bicycle permits, riding on sidewalks, legally regulated bicycle lane use, hard hat laws, child carrier laws and bicycle-specific traffic regulations. It is your obligation to know and obey these laws and regulations.
1. Always wear a bicycle helmet that meets the latest safety and quality certification standards and is suitable for the type of riding you are doing. Always follow the helmet manufacturer's instructions for adjusting, using and maintaining your helmet. Bicycle accidents involving the most serious head injuries can potentially be avoided if riders wear appropriate helmets. Failure to wear a helmet while riding can result in serious injury or death!
2. Always perform a safety inspection on your bicycle before each departure (see "Basic pre-ride inspection" above)
3. Be completely familiar with how to control your bicycle: brakes, pedals, gear shifting.
4. Be careful not to let your body or other objects come into contact with the sharp tooth chain, rotating chain, rotating pedals and cranks, and rotating wheel set of the bicycle.
5. Necessary equipment:
① Cycling shoes: Cycling shoes can help our feet firmly contact and control the pedals. Make sure shoelaces cannot get into moving parts of machinery, and never ride barefoot or in sandals.
②Clothes: Brightly colored clothes can make it easier for others to see you. Choose clothing that is close-fitting to prevent accidental snags on bicycles or other objects along the road or trail.
③Protective glasses: Can prevent dirt, dust and insects in the air. Use lenses of different brightnesses. Use dark lenses when the light is strong, and use lenses with higher transparency when the light is weak.
6. Don’t try to jump casually. Jumping, especially on a BMX or mountain bike, can be fun, but it can put a huge and unpredictable amount of stress on the bike and its accessories. Failure to heed this advice could result in serious injury and risk to both the bicycle and the rider. Please read and fully understand "Appendix 1" before you attempt to jump, do stunts, or race with your bike.
7. Cycling at a speed that is within your ability. The faster the speed, the higher the risk.
